Truth (2015 film)
Truth is a 2015 American biographical political drama film written and directed by James Vanderbilt, based on Mary Mapes' 2005 memoir Truth and Duty: The Press, The President And The Privilege Of Power about the Killian documents controversy. The film stars Cate Blanchett as Mapes and Robert Redford as news anchor Dan Rather. It is the directorial debut of Vanderbilt.
The film was selected to be screened in the Special Presentations section of the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival. It is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 16, 2015.
